My name is Rob ONeill. I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. In fact, the "Rocky" Movies were filmed in my neighborhood on the streets I grew up on. Today, and for the past 42 years I've lived in San Jose, CA. Photography has been my passion since the Apple Quick Take 100 made it's debut as the first affordable digital camera in 1995 at just under $1,000.00. Soon after, I invested in the Quick Take 150 and from there, every year, or when the opportunity presented, I would upgrade to higher end cameras. Today I use the Stellar Nikon D850 as my primary camera and the outstanding D500 for my wildlife photography. Some time this coming year, (2019), after it debuts, I'm adding the incredible Fujifilm GFX 100S, 100MP Medium Format Camera to my kit and I'm real excited about the possiblities this new monster camera will offer me.
I am a USN Veteran, (1971-1975), and a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. I was serving in Vietnam when the war ended in 1973. I have a degree in Graphic Design and Desktop Publishing, and am also a licensed General Building Contractor. I've recently retired from Building, an now am able to spend more time with my cameras and have been honing my skills in portrait photography. And I'm loving it. Making people look and feel good is very satisfying to me.
I also shoot Sports and Wildlife. My Wildlife and Macro web site is at: This site here is primarily for family and friends and I'm slowly adding photos. Some of my wildlife photos are on display in doctor's offices, professional offices, and private homes. The sports, family, event, and portrait photos are free to download if you'd like.
